Rebecca Baruch is a writer-director whose storytelling abilities have led her to projects and opportunities in Toronto, London, New York and Los Angeles. Rebecca has worked for both small production companies and major studios. Her character-driven narratives are loaded with imaginative elements and range from adventure to drama(edy), often with a touch of magical realism. Music and color influence Rebecca's work, as does her vibrant aesthetic.
Rebecca graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Television, Radio & Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She is currently pursuing an M.F.A. at the American Film Institute as a Screenwriting Fellow.
Her writing interests lie in a variety of platforms including film (feature and short), television, music videos, short stories and novels. Rebecca is a driven, creative and open-minded person, who has the attitude that no task is too big or too small in the pursuit of completing a project. She strives for perfection, settles for excellence and was once told that she could run a small country with an iron fist and a smile.
